My name is Colleen, and Sea Star Stewards is part of my Ph.D. research at Florida Atlantic University. The primary focus of my research is to identify the bacteria that live in and on sea stars (also known as the microbiome), to figure out how they influence health and disease. I would also like to track sea star wasting disease observations at Blue Heron Bridge and beyond. To do that, I have enlisted the help of the community!
